Bringing life to the videoboard and MLB.tv with dual show connectivity.

Glendale, Arizona 5/14/2019 FanFX Enhances Spring Training 2019

FanFX, tasked with producing 48 productions in only 30 days, provided full production services for the Camelback Ranch in-house videoboard show and MLB.tv broadcasts. Utilizing the available venue infrastructure to share resources between the two shows, FanFX was able to turn both productions into one turnkey solution, increasing production value while saving time and money.

FanFX has been a powerhouse addition to Camelback Ranch (home of the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers) as they produce both MLB.tv and videoboard productions, while also supplying the Ranch with a full graphics package, player headshot cutouts, and complete control room management, including crewing. “From planning and staffing to on-site engineering and gameday execution, they (FanFX) are proactive professionals who act and feel like members of the team – not just another third party vendor. Their wide-ranging expertise allows us to consolidate our in-house shows and webcasts into one turnkey solution, simultaneously saving costs and elevating production value.” says Scott Carter, Director of Marketing at Camelback Ranch.

With the provided infrastructure at Camelback Ranch, Greg Cody (FanFX President) and crew have been capable of sharing resources, “We’re able to send our MLB.tv production cameras to the Camelback Ranch in-house control room, also adding a two channel communication system allowing communication with our MLB.tv camera crew and videoboard production” says Cody, “We are very fortunate to have crew here in the valley who understand and support this new system, allowing us to elevate and grow the culture of the videoboard show and broadcast integration. Buying-in to new models like these has not been an industry norm, and we are excited to be leading the charge.”

“The folks at FanFX have been very receptive to our needs. The quality of the webcasts has improved each year. We look forward to working with them in the future.” says Bob Grim, Sr. Director of Broadcasting & Business Development for the Chicago White Sox. FanFX’s MLB.tv broadcasts consist of a four camera production, live commentary, score bug for in-game stats, and a DataVideo instant replay system, all of which is cut on a Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K, with concurrent distribution to BamTech in New York and Spectrum in Los Angeles.

FanFX brings technology to life. We specialize in the creation and implementation of workflows for newly installed control rooms, videoboards, and LED signage. These workflows relate to every production we produce, as our goal is always to maximize efficiency, while creating engaging productions.
